CAREER:

Ron Newton developed his creative skills in the film industry through his work on set design and film work in Florida and Southern California for industry powerhouses such as Disney, Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon and other production companies. He also helped companies such as Blockbuster Video and Hawaiian Tropic build successful trade shows and events.

After discovering the scenic paradise of Lake Tahoe, Ron decided to move to the Tahoe/Reno region to focus more on his own creative expression and ideas. Through still photography, he has found ways to utilize the creative techniques he learned in motion picture production while creating artistic images that uniquely celebrate life.  Ron finds constant inspiration in the beauty and energy of the Tahoe area while also enjoying occasional artistic sojourns to places such as San Francisco and Hawaii.  He also keeps up with the latest photographic trends and innovations by participating in industry workshops and events in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and other cities.

Ron’s background and experience in motion picture production allow him to bring extra life, energy, and emotion to his portrait and event photography as well.  He loves bringing his talents into the lives of people who enjoy residing in or visiting the Tahoe area, and he would be more than happy to plan and schedule a photography session with you for your special occasion or event.

Ron is also available to work with businesses, non-profit organizations and government entities. Two of his most recent clients, for example, were the Nevada Historical Society and the coalition group Nevadans for the ERA.
